The Irish Horse Welfare Trust, Charity No. CHY14634 was established in 1999 to help the plight of horses in Ireland. We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses that have been abandoned, neglected or ill-treated. The Charity operates from its Equine Centre in Woodenbridge near Arklow in Co Wicklow. We care for on average 75 equines at any one time but in the past few years we have held up to 100 equines. The IHWT relies heavily on public donations.
